Rice with Huitlacoche and Squash Blossoms
ingredients
500 g de Arroz súper extra Verde Valle®
500 ml de aceite comestible
100 g de cebolla picada
2 litros de caldo del pollo
5 jitomates picados en cubos de 1 cm
2 dientes de ajo picado
2 mojaras fritas y desmenuzadas
Cilantro picado al gusto
Perejil picado al gusto
Chile serrano al gusto
1 ½ cups Super Extra Rice, Verde Valle
½ finely chopped onion
1 chopped serrano chili
½ cup water
Olive oil, as needed
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
3 cups filtered water
1 bunch of clean squash blossoms
PREPARATION
- Rinse and drain the rice. In a rice cooker or deep saucepan, sauté it with the onion, serrano chili, and huitlacoche until lightly golden. Add ½ cup of water, season with salt and pepper, then add the remaining water. Cover and simmer over low heat for 25 minutes.
- Serve and garnish with the squash blossoms. Enjoy.
